So Vera just finished killing her husband John Vidal . Vera killed her husband with Bodega's gun . She didn't like Vidal anymore and Bodega went to the meeting so that Vera could say she doesn't like Vidal and she never did but Vera ended up shooting John . After that Bodega wanted to cover up for Vera and turn himself in to the cops because he knew Nazario was a lawyer and could bail him out but Nazario shot him while Bodega was trying to turn himself in . It was all a setup Chino figured it out he said "The only one better off is you keep Vera she keeps her husband's money and you keep Willie's power". Nazario just wanted to be with Vera so he took Bodega out of the way .
Iam guessing that Blanka will later come back and live with her husban Chino. She would probley come back after she makes the baby and hears how good Chino is doing . Chino is not doing all the dirty work or anything he is actrully doing the good stuff for example pg186 it's says how Chino took the old man in. He knew that Bodega would of done the same thing . But now that Bodega is killed he is keeping his sprit buy doing all the positive things that Bodega did and would of done to keep his name and busness alive. Blanka would see that her husban Chino is doing all the good thing for the neiboorhood. She would later come back home and live with Chino and they will live happily ever after with there new born kid .
Vera is very ungratful, selfish and a woman who doesn't have respect for herself. Bodega truly loved her and gave her his all. He even took the blame for a crime he didn't commit just to protect her and she has the nerves to do this to Bodega. John Vidal even worn Bodega about Vera's true colors but he was blind and didn't wanna to hear anything he had to say." But you see, I must warn you about my wife . About her affairs. There have been so many. I personally never cared. She always come back to me. You see, her body is an international hotel, it has taken men from all over the world."(190) This demonstrate how even Vidal knew about her affairs and knew what she was capable of doing. She never loved nobody she just loved herself and being around men to rip them off. Nazario is a toothface because he decided to kill Bodega all along just to be with Vera when all she did was play with every ones feelings and control each and every affair she had with all the man she slept with. Nazario could off just kept it real with Bodega and tell him what was going on, like that he wouldn't look like a fool after all and do him. - Geissel soler
Why does Sapo feel like a second class citizen at the end of the story?
Sapo feels like a second class citizen because he can’t hangout as he used to. After the death of bodega, Sapo talks to chino about how he can’t shine like he used to. “I got to walk through the streets as if I’m a second class citizen. I got to go out and get groceries and come right home”. This quote shows that Sapo never was like this, but after the death of bodega, and his role in killing Salazar. He has to lay low and nothing would be the same as before.
