In Bodega Dreams by Ernesto Quinonez Blanca felt like giving back the ring was the right thing to do. Blanca is a kind person who doesn't like to do wrong so giving back the ring feels like the right thing to do in her heart. In the text it says "This is wrong, Julio. Blanca gave me back the ring. Return it." This quote shows how she feels that giving back the ring is the right thing to do.
In the book "Bodega Dreams " Vera has just given her engagement ring at the party while she was drunk . Why did Chino take it in the first place well he was drunk didn't know what he was doing maybe . But the next day he had the ring and knew who it was but didn't want to return it . "No Im keeping it we have atleast four or five months of rent here " . As shown in the quote Chino was arguing with Blanca about keeping the ring and how it could benefit him and her . But Blanca just want Chino to return it . Chino is only thinking about himself right now and not about his friend Vera which is pretty mean .
The building is on fire because Bodega's enemy lit the building on fire. In this quote, Chino is walking home from church with his wife. He saw Nazario and he already knew what happened. For example "Fischman had done it. The fire was in reliation for Salazar."pg145 This means that the reason the fire happened was because Fischman was trying to get back at Bodega for killing Salazar. Also its shows that more will happen because of his death. The fire was started because of Salazars death and revenge.
Why does Nazario want Chino to go with him to speak to that someone?
Nazario want Chino to go with him because he wants the person to know that hes not alone and that people are getting education in the barrio. In this part of the book, Nazario is talking to Chino while people are praying. Chino is very upset because his family could of gotten killed and he wants to be on Nazario's side. For example,"We have to speak to someone. And should something happen to me, I want this person this person we are going to see to be familiar with your face for future refrences." This proves that since Chino is intellegent and he educated that he would stick up for Nazario if he witness something. Also if they try to do anything to Nazario, Chino could try to help Nazario. Nazario wants Chino to go and be there for him.
The chino made the fire his problem because if his wife would of been there while that happen he was going to do something that was not gonna be good because he know that ficsman was the one that did it and him and bodega don't like each other. One quote I chosse was "ficcsman has done it". This show how chino is getting on the problem just to proctect his wife even tho she was at church with him he just got mad at the fact that everyone tag live hat building had to pay the consequences because of what happen to Salazar.
why Vera and Bodega went to Chino's house after the ceremony?
Vera and Bodega went to Chino house after the ceremony because they want to celebrate their new life with each other. Vera and Bodega haven't seen each other in 20 years. chino put Vera and Bodega together. Vera and Bodega have now reunited and now they are both drunk. Them both want to start fresh, i can prove that , when bodega said to vera "Its's a new year. New life. " Also Vera yelled, to Julio " Happy new year, Julio." Those two quotes show that Bodega and Vera feel fresh. They feel brand new and they can start over. they went to Chino's house to celebrate with them, Vera and Bodega did that cause without Chino, Vera and bodega would've never met.

Im so happy you came. Im happy you're happy." This evidence proves that Blanca was happy that he actually showed up.
Vera is a gold digger because she’s only interested in the money. Bodega meets Vera a second time after 21 years, 3 months and 14 days. On page 121 it says “are those really yours?” she leaned her body towards the window… on page 126 “Vera says… I want you to teach me how to smoke a joint… I want to learn how to fire a gun”. Vera feels impressed when she sees how much power bodega has. Therefore she is more interested in him. Vera wants to manipulate bodega so he could be more interested in her.
Blanca doesn’t want to stay with the ring because she believes in god and good is good. Chino feels frustrated about the issue of the ring. An also that Blanca keeps repeating the same thing all over again. On page 130 it says “no let me finish. Then you come up with this shit about sin and your church.” Blanca doesn’t want the ring because she’s religious. But in the other hand, chino wants it. And he feels mad about Blanca for repeating the same thing about god all over again
